Book of Hours for Rome Use

A Member of the Gold Scrolls Group, active c. 1415 to 1455
Pentecost. Here
the Hours of the Holy Spirit are introduced by a miniature of the
Pentecost in which the Dove of the Holy Spirit descends to earth
above the seated Virgin Mary and the Apostles. The manuscript was
illuminated by a member of the Gold Scrolls group, known for their
use of bold colors, including bright purple, green, and chartreuse.
