of Hours for Rome Use (Victorines-d'Auxy Hours) France, Bourges, c. 1475-80 Jean Colombe and His Workshop, active 1463 to c. 1493 A Funeral with Marginal Scenes of Christ's Miracles. This page is decorated with scenes of a medieval funeral surrounded by pictures that demonstrate Christ's miracles and healing powers. In the center, the Office of the Dead is illustrated with a scene of a coffin being brought to church by a group of mourners. On the far left, a grave is prepared. Lazarus rises from his tomb on Christ's command below and the scenes on the right contain men and women seeking Christ's aid. Philadelphia Museum of Art, Gift of Mrs. Philip S.
